Structural Engineering

What is Structural Engineering?

Structural engineering is a field of civil engineering that focuses on the formation of man-made buildings. Many of their projects focus on bearing large loads and creating structures that compromise the body of buildings. This field applies concepts from physics (such as statics) in order to ensure the stability of these buildings.

What exactly do Structural Engineers do?

Structural Engineers create all the structures that surround us, including buildings and towers. They take into account several factors during their work, including the usage of materials and the load applied to the structure. In many cases, structural engineers have to take into account environmental factors (such as earthquakes) to make their structures even more stable.
